Damit den Umfrageergebnissen entsprechendes Gewicht zukommen kann, ist die Teilnahme einer großen und vielfältigen Gruppe von Lesben, Schwulen, Bisexuellen und Transpersonen in jedem Land notwendig. Der Erfolg der Umfrage hängt davon ab, dass eine große Zielgruppe erreicht wird. Daher ist es sehr wichtig, dass TeilnehmerInnen den Fragebogen in ihrem LGBT-Freundeskreis weiterverbreiten, sei es per E-Mail, über soziale Netzwerke oder einfach durch eine persönliche Einladung an FreundInnen, sich doch ebenfalls an der Umfrage zu beteiligen. Anbei der letzte Entscheid des Bundesverfassungsgerichts zur Unrechtmässigkeit aktuelle Personenstandsänderung auszusetzen solange keine Gesetzesnovelierung durchgeführt wurde. Es gibt eben Menschen denen ist jedes Mittel recht um Transsexuelle zu diskriminieren. Gut ist, dass es Richter mit Verstand gibt. Weiterlesen
European Parliament asks WHO to depathologize transgender identities
The resolution endorses the adoption of the UNHRC resolution A/HRC/17/19 and lends its support to the work undertaken by the OHCHR so far as well as concrete assistance in organizing a panel at the 19th UN UNHCR session to enable an open dialogue amongst states on related human rights issues. The European parliament calls on the Commission and the WHO – a UN body – to withdraw gender identity disorders from the list of mental and behavioral disorders while ensuring a non-pathologizing re-coding in the 11th version of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). Welcoming the adoption in June of the first-ever resolution on ‘Human rights, sexual orientation and gender identity’ at the United Nations Human Rights Council, the European Parliament confirmed its concern regarding “human rights violations and widespread discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, both in the European Union and [abroad]”. I preached against homosexuality, but I was wrong
One reason, I think, is that it’s easy to condemn homosexuality if you are not gay. It is much harder than condemning pride, or lust or greed, things that most practicing Christians have struggled with. It is all too easy to make homosexuality about “those people,” and not me. If I were to judge someone for their inflated sense of pride, or their tendency to worship various cultural idols, I would feel some personal stake, some cringe of self-judgment. Not so with homosexuality.
