Ten-year-old Livvy James hit the headlines when she left school for the summer as a boy and returned as a girl after being diagnosed with gender dysphoria.

Livvy and her mum, Saffron and dad, Phillip have spoken about Livvy’s situation, appearing on This Morning to discuss her experience.

With a passion for pink, Livvy dressed in a heart print jumper and sparkly jewellery for her interview, sitting with her mum and dad to bravely talk about coming to terms with gender dysphoria.

The 10-year-old said she was happy not to have to pretend anyone, and was glad that, at first, most people were accepting of her change.
